WOLF CREEK TRAILER

WOLF CREEK TRAILER ANALYSIS

From analysing Wolf Creek trailer I found out that the opening scene contains a variety of shot types and shot angles. Also I found out that the average shot length is usually 1-2 seconds in order to keep it quite quick and interesting. Usually, there will be many shots in one scene too, rather than continuity editing. The most common number of shot types per scene is four in the opening section to the trailer.

From this information, it shows that the rough cut trailer does not really relate much to the content of a horror trailer. This means that I will need to edit the length of shots, especially at the beginning of the trailer as they are far too long and therefore it is probably boring for the audience to watch. Also, I will need to cut down the continuity editing and contain more of a range of shots like Wolf Creek as it makes it much more interesting and shows the editing to be of a high quality.
