HOMEWORK- TEST FOOTAGE

When filming the test footage I specifically paid close attention to the setting, lighting and the quality of the sound. I also showed a brief pan and zoom which presents camera techniques which may be used in the trailer. The setting presented in the footage is in a forrest which is situated near a lake. The lighting may cause a slight issue when actually filming depending on whether it is a bright sunny day or not. For example, where there are gaps at the top of the woods the light shines through. This means that actors should specifically not stand in those parts as the video will not be clear. The camera seemed to pick up the sound quite well, even though the footage was filmed on a windy day. If the wind becomes much harsher when we come to the actual filming then the actors may need to speak a little louder or perhaps shout in order for the camera to pick up the sound clearly. Also we discovered that the further away the characters are, the louder they need to speak to ensure that the camera will pick up the sound and therefore have a high quality.
